A video from the former US officials who ran the wargame "Oil Shockwave" a while back that modeled what civil unrest in Nigeria would do to the oil markets and the U.S. economy. An interesting watch.

Google's new IM client within the email box is as revolutionary as Gmail, Google Maps and Google Desktop. Great stuff.

Kayak made some interesting announcements last week: it introduced fare watch and then a Kayak Buddy for AOL users. Basically, with the AOL buddy, you don't have to go to Kayak's Website to get airfares. This is the only travel site that I am aware of that has increased its Alexa ranking.

I have been thinking about this for almost six months – why Gmail wasn't adding a chat feature within it's email account. In fact, when there was all the hype about Google Talk, I thought that Gtalk would be built within Gmail. It's almost a no brainer to have the two integrated. But then again it was Google who had to do it first.
